Executive Coaching for Leaders
Massachusetts, New York, Montana, And Vermont
Psychologist-Led Leadership Advisory in MA, NY & Beyond
Dr. John Christopher is a licensed psychologist and executive advisor providing confidential executive coaching for CEOs, founders, physicians, and senior leaders navigating complexity, performance pressure, and organizational responsibility.
Grounded in psychological science and contemplative practice, this work supports clarity in decision-making, emotional regulation under stress, and sustainable high performance.
Executive Coaching That Goes Beyond Performance
Unlike traditional executive coaching that focuses primarily on productivity and goal attainment, this approach addresses the underlying psychological and physiological dynamics that shape leadership effectiveness.
Areas of focus include:
Decision-making under pressure
Leadership presence and communication
Emotional intelligence and relational dynamics
Burnout prevention and recovery
Ethical tension and values-based leadership
Chronic stress and nervous system regulation
The aim is structural leadership development — not short-term performance hacks.
Addressing Executive Burnout at Its Source
High-level leadership often carries hidden costs:
Decision fatigue and cognitive overload
Emotional constriction or detachment
Sleep disruption and chronic stress activation
Erosion of purpose and professional vitality
Organizational strain and relational breakdown
Executive coaching integrates neuroscience, stress physiology, and somatic regulation tools to help leaders shift from reactive survival states into steadier, more strategic functioning.
This is not wellness coaching. It is psychologically informed leadership advisory.
Mindfulness as a Leadership Discipline
Mindfulness in this context is not relaxation or spirituality. It is the disciplined cultivation of attention, self-regulation, and clarity in high-stakes environments.
Drawing from decades of contemplative study and teaching—including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)—Dr. Christopher integrates evidence-based mindfulness practices to strengthen executive resilience, focus, and adaptive capacity.
